About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Executive to join our legal team. The candidate will be responsible for handling day-to-day legal matters relating to real estate transactions, property documentation, agreements, compliance, and coordination with external advocates and government authorities.
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of real estate documentation and be comfortable reviewing, drafting, and managing legal documents.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate real estate agreements, sale agreements, lease agreements, development agreements, MoUs, POAs, and other legal documents.
- Conduct preliminary legal due diligence and title verification of properties.
- Review property documents, title deeds, encumbrance certificates, approvals, licenses, and other relevant records.
- Coordinate with external advocates, legal consultants, property consultants, and government authorities.
- Assist in handling property registrations, conveyancing, stamp duty, and registration-related matters.
- Maintain and organize legal records, agreements, property documents, and case files.
- Monitor and track ongoing legal matters, documentation, registrations, and statutory requirements.
- Assist in identifying potential legal risks in property transactions and elevate issues to senior management/legal counsel.
- Support the team in handling notices, disputes, litigation matters, and legal correspondence.
- Prepare legal notices, replies, letters, and other correspondence as required.
- Conduct legal research on relevant property laws, RERA regulations, land laws, contract laws, and applicable local regulations.
- Ensure timely completion and execution of legal documentation for real estate transactions.
- Maintain confidentiality of company and transaction-related information.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- LL.B. / B.L. degree from a recognized university.
- 13 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in real estate, property law, construction, or a law firm handling real estate matters.
- Good understanding of property documentation and real estate transactions.
- Familiarity with RERA, Transfer of Property Act, Registration Act, Stamp Act, and Contract Law.
- Strong drafting and contract-review skills.
- Good legal research and analytical abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Office/Google Workspace.
Preferred
- Experience in handling property title due diligence and land documentation.
- Exposure to RERA-related matters and regulatory compliance
