Job summary

Morgan Stanley is seeking a Director level professional in the Finance division to partner with business units globally, delivering management reporting, analysis and advisory services of financial resources. You will lead balance sheet and P&L processes, drive variance analyses and ensure statutory compliance across entities.

The role requires strong communication, a commercial mindset and the ability to coordinate with tax, legal and external auditors.

Responsibilities

We're seeking someone across to hire for our LEC team.

In the Finance division, we act as a partner to business units around the globe by providing management, review, analysis and advisory services of the Firm's financial and capital resources.

This is a Director level position within the Corporate Controllers, Reporting & Accounting team.

What You'll Do In The Role

• Collaborate with a varied group of colleagues in Finance and across the Firm.
• Responsible for and lead aspects of individual and team deliverables and projects, leveraging in-depth knowledge of Finance functional area, product and/or client segments.
• Adhere to the Firm's risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls; proactively identify ways to reduce risk in work.
• Act as a culture carrier; embody and set an example of the Firm's values and hold yourself and others accountable to Firm standards.
• Monthly Balance Sheet and P&L preparation and review.
• Preparing detailed variance analysis
• Preparation and Review of statutory financial statements
• Review of management accounts and variance analysis
• Validation of US Federal Reserve entity level reporting
• Co-ordination of all legal entity activity, with key internal experts such as tax, legal etc.
• Tax Compliance
• Supporting the Business Units in the setup, opening & closing of entities and adapting the entity's ledgers and system requirements.
• Responsible for maintaining key stakeholder relationships both internally and externally including: external auditors, Product Control, Company Secretarial and Tax.

• At least 4 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role

Skills Desired

• IFRS and /or USGAAP knowledge an advantage.
• Knowledge of financial products which are used in the financial services industry, such as derivatives, securities lending and repos would be preferred.
