Job summary

CryptoMize in Delhi, India seeks a qualified legal counsel to advise senior management on engagements, partnerships and disputes where the company’s name is on the line. You will draft contracts, settle instruments, and manage standard templates used across the function.

You will protect IP, assess risk for decision-makers, and design internal governance policies with regular compliance cadences across a multi-country operation. Confidential matters require discretion and integrity.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Provide legal support and advice to senior management on major matters — the engagements, partnerships and disputes where the agency’s name is directly on the line
• Draft and settle the instruments the business runs on: contracts, statements, agreements, and the standardized templates the whole function reuses
• Implement protective measures for patents, trademarks and industrial designs — the agency’s own IP and the marks it manages for clients
• Calculate and manage legal risk in decision-making and business processes, so leadership sees the exposure before it signs, not after
• Define internal governance policies and check compliance on a regular cadence — the controls that keep a multi-country operation honest
• Ensure internal controls, statutory regulations and formalities are followed across corporate obligations, from filings to record-keeping
• Keep current with developments in all major areas of law that touch the portfolio — corporate, media, data, election — and expand the department’s knowledge base as the law moves

Qualification & Experience

• Corporate law mastery — contracts, corporate structure, commercial obligations
• Legal drafting at settlement quality — agreements that close, not drafts that iterate forever
• IP protection practice — trademarks, patents, industrial designs, enforcement paths
• Risk quantification for decision-makers — exposure stated in terms leadership can weigh
• Internal governance design — policies, controls, compliance check cadences
• Statutory and regulatory compliance management
• Strong verbal and written communication, with the ability to compile and organize data in structured databases
• Negotiation — external counsel, counterparties, regulators
• Cross-border awareness — knowing which Indian positions travel and which do not
• Dispute management — framing options when matters turn contentious
• Discretion with board-level and client-confidential matters (non-negotiable)
