Swaniti Initiative is seeking a detail-oriented Legal Associate to support its legal, corporate, and compliance functions. The role involves drafting and reviewing legal documents, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing corporate records, and advising on governance matters.
The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years of experience in corporate law, contract drafting, and regulatory compliance, with exposure to governance and company secretarial tasks.
Swaniti Initiative is asocial enterprise that is working at the intersection of climate, governanceand last mile delivery. We believe that while the willingness and resourcesexist, there are fundamental gaps in the execution within communities that isthe biggest crisis in the climate movement. Accordingly, Swaniti works withsubnational governments to conduct microplanning exercises with consultationswith community and key stakeholders to understand the pathways forward, providetechnical assistance to subnational governments to provide support in programimplementation and support in monitoring and delivery of programs.
Swaniti has been workingacross multiple geographies in the global south to unlock capital. Our threecore metrics include unlocking public capital, ensuring last mile communitiesare directly benefitted and creating systemic changes in the public servicesystems. While we are continuing to focus on impact, it is critical to have alead who has a deep understanding about monitoring, evaluation and learning.Our intention is to create an institutional capability to measure and documentthe scale of our impact and look at how learning can be replicated across theinstitution.
