Job summary

Qualifications

• LLB or equivalent law degree (Juris Doctor or LLM is a plus).
• Certification in legal practice (bar admission or legal qualification in the relevant jurisdiction).
• Experience: Minimum 210 years of experience in a corporate or in-house legal role (previous experience in the same industry is a plus).
• Skills: Strong knowledge of corporate law, commercial contracts, and employment law.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert legal counsel to internal stakeholders on corporate governance, contracts, labor law, intellectual property, compliance, and regulatory issues.
• Ensure the company adheres to all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
• Oversee litigation, arbitration, and other dispute resolution processes.
• Identify legal risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Advise on corporate governance best practices and ensure proper documentation.
• Educate employees on legal matters to ensure compliance across the organization.
• Support Mergers & Acquisitions activities with due diligence and integration.
• Keep abreast of new laws and industry trends to provide proactive legal support.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and amend contracts with suppliers, customers, and third parties.

The Legal Manager will also play a key role in advising senior management on legal matters, ensuring the company’s legal framework supports its growth, compliance, and long‑term objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Legal Advisory: Provide expert legal counsel to internal stakeholders on a wide range of matters, including corporate governance, contracts, labor law, intellectual property, compliance, and regulatory issues, ensuring the company’s operations align with legal requirements and mitigate potential risks.


• Compliance Management: Ensure the company adheres to all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. Monitor changes in legislation that could impact the organization.


• Dispute Resolution: Oversee litigation, arbitration, and other dispute resolution processes. Work with external counsel as needed and provide strategic direction on legal matters.


• Risk Management: Identify legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Assist in risk assessment related to new projects or business initiatives.


• Corporate Governance: Advise on corporate governance best practices, ensuring proper legal documentation for board meetings, resolutions, and shareholder relations.


• Training & Development: Educate and train employees on legal matters, policies, and best practices to ensure compliance across the organization.


• Mergers & Acquisitions: Support M&A activities by reviewing and negotiating terms, due diligence, and integration processes.


• Legal Research: Keep abreast of new laws and industry trends to provide proactive legal support and risk assessments.


• Contract Management: Draft, review, negotiate, and amend contracts and agreements with suppliers, customers, and third parties, ensuring legal and organizational interests are protected.

Qualifications

• Education:


• LLB or equivalent law degree (Juris Doctor or LLM is a plus).


• Certification in legal practice (bar admission or legal qualification in the relevant jurisdiction).


• Experience:
