Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic and knowledgeable Legal Appraiser to join our Legal & Compliance team in Delhi. The role primarily involves legal appraisal of loan-related documents, title verification, and compliance management for retail lending. The ideal candidate will have a strong grounding in property and corporate law, excellent drafting skills, and the ability to communicate legal requirements to both internal teams and external customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Appraisal of project and title documents for retail and individual loan files with updated knowledge of property laws.
• Provide legal advice on property transactions, title verifications, and security creation.
• Draft and structure lending arrangements with builders, loan agreements, and legal responses to notices.
• Certify legal documents related to mortgages, vet third-party advocate reports, and opine on property titles.

Review and draft a wide range of legal agreements and documentation such as:

• Leave & license agreements
• Mortgage deeds and reconveyance deeds
• Trust and security indemnity bonds
• Legal notices and replies to statutory authorities or clients
• Ensure regulatory compliance under both central and local laws.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Qualified LL.B with 2–4 years of relevant experience in real estate/property-related legal work.

In-depth knowledge of:

• Transfer of Property Act
• Indian Registration & Stamps Act
• Companies Act
• SARFAESI Act
• RERA Act and other applicable laws
• Proficient in legal drafting and reading of complex documents.
• Excellent command of English (spoken and written) and ability to read local legal documents.
• Ability to communicate legal concepts in simple terms and guide customers with clarity and patience.
• Self-motivated with strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
