Job summary

EY Global Delivery Services (GDS) – People Consulting (PC) SAP/Systems Implementation Learning Senior Manager role based in Pune, India, offers a unique chance to shape large-scale learning projects within a global professional services firm.

You will provide oversight for SAP/SI engagements, design and deliver scalable learning solutions, lead a multi‑disciplinary team of learning consultants, and drive strategic growth with stakeholders across regions, while upholding EY's values and client

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or associate degree with significant hands-on experience leading large learning projects.
• Proven experience with SAP systems/modules (FI, HR, MM, S4/HANA) and SAP/SI implementations.
• Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, and training methodologies.

• Ability to lead proposals/pursuits and oversee learning solutions and estimates.
• Proficiency with LMS and various course authoring tools.
• Experience coordinating large teams on multiple digital learning engagements.

The Opportunity

We are looking for Instructional Design Senior Managers with expertise in Systems Implementation (SI) /SAP to join the GDS PC team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a leading global professional services organisation whilst being instrumental in growth of the GDS PC team.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive oversight for SAP/SI engagements, manage/mitigate escalations, and stay aligned with engagement leadership vision and engagement objectives
• Own GDS penetration and sector centric activities across areas
• Lead development and execution of comprehensive learning and development strategies that align with the engagement goals and enhance end user skills and performance
• Partner with key stakeholders to identify training needs, designing and implementing effective learning solutions
• Ensure that engagements are delivered in a cost-effective and scalable manner
• Lead, coach, and mentor a team of learning consultants/senior consultants/assistant managers/managers fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
• Encourage professional growth within the team, providing opportunities for skills development and career advancement
• Establish instructional design expertise within the practice, grow and lead a team of instructional design specialists in the SAP/SI domain
• Liaison with regional stakeholders for selling work in the instructional design space to build project pipeline
• Identify and build new SAP/SI capabilities in the team based on trends in the various market regions
• Lead SAP/SI instructional design efforts using the most advanced technologies and digital solutions in the market
• Ensure high quality SAP/SI deliverables are produced for the project by exhaustive internal reviews and obtain excellent feedback from the client and global project counterparts
• Ensure high operational efficiency by managing engagement risks and escalations, project economics, and ensuring effective planning and budgeting
• Provide advice and guidance as a subject matter expert and work effectively as part of a large, distributed program team
• Contribute to process re-engineering and help bring in efficiencies across GDS PC through automation
• Drive talent/performance management and perform the role of counsellor and coach, define and set goals, and conduct performance reviews

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Bachelor’s or associate degree with 14-18 years of hands on experience in implementing and leading large and complex learning projects
• Proven experience and knowledge of SAP systems, modules, and functions, such as SAP FI, SAP HR, SAP MM, S4/HANA etc.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing successful learning and development programs
• Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design, and training methodologies
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lead proposals/pursuits and provide oversight of learning solutions and estimations
• Ability to think strategically and execute tactically
• Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and other learning technologies will be a plus
• Knowledge of multiple ERP systems, such as Oracle, Workday etc. is a plus
• Effective writing skills (grasp and command over English)
• Proficiency in MS PowerPoint and MS Excel
• Experience in managing large teams as well as multiple concurrent digital learning engagements
• Proficiency with one or more course authoring and learning tools: SAP Enable Now, Articulate Storyline, captivate, WalkMe, Camtasia, Vyond, VideoScribe
• Ability to review learning deliverables developed by others
• Excellent knowledge of assessment and evaluation methods and learning experience platforms
• Cross industry exposure

Ideally, you’ll also

• Flexibility in and comfort with learning and applying new software and work processes
• Experience in ensuring e-learning materials and course materials are developed under a strict change control with thorough testing before release to the live environment
• Experience using gamification within the design and development of online content, to create a more immersive experience for the end user
• Ability to create design documents and design guides
• Experience working with all kinds of media
• Experience with a data-driven approach to instructional design, using both qualitative and quantitative data to optimize content efficacy
• Proven project management experience to take digital learning from concept to delivery
• Familiarity with website design, video technology, and editing
