TransUnion is seeking a Lead Developer, Applications Development in India. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable web apps using PHP, Laravel, and MySQL, while guiding a team and shaping architecture.

You will collaborate with product owners, stakeholders, and DevOps to deliver RESTful APIs, optimize performance, and participate in Agile ceremonies. A strong PHP/Laravel background and leadership experience are essential.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications with PHP, Laravel, MySQL

Role Overview And Core Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using PHP, Laravel, and MySQL.
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Guide and mentor junior developers, providing technical support, code reviews, and best practice recommendations.
• Participate in application design discussions and contribute to architecture and technology decisions.
• Develop and optimize RESTful APIs, backend services, and database structures
• Ensure high-quality code through code reviews, testing, documentation, and adherence to development standards.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, backlog grooming, and retrospectives
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex application issues while ensuring platform stability and performance.
• Optimize application and database performance through efficient coding and query optimization techniques
• Support cloud-based deployments and collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD and release activities.

Required Knowledge And Experiences

• 8+ years of experience in web application development using PHP and related technologies.
• Strong experience with Laravel framework and enterprise application development.
• Experience guiding developers through technical challenges, conducting code reviews, and promoting engineering best practices.
• Hands-on experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent industry experience.

Required Technical Skills

• PHP and Laravel Framework - Expert
• SQL, MySQL, and Relational Database Design & Optimization - Expert
• JavaScript and jQuery - Strong Proficiency
• Strong understanding of application architecture, design patterns, and software development best practices
• AWS (Amazon Web Services) and/or GCP (Google Cloud Platform) familiarity
• Strong Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) fundamentals
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills
