Job summary

TransUnion in India, Maharashtra is seeking a Lead Developer, Applications Development to architect and deliver scalable frontend solutions using React.js and modern JS tooling. You will mentor teams, shape frontend strategy, and collaborate with cross-functional partners to align business goals with technical delivery.

Ideal candidates have extensive React.js experience, strong CS fundamentals, and a track record of building enterprise-grade applications in Agile environments.

• 10+ years of frontend/web development experience with 2+ years in a leadership role.
• Strong experience in frontend architecture, system design, and modern JavaScript development.
• Proven track record building enterprise-scale apps with React.js and related ecosystems.
• Experience leading Agile/Scrum teams and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and development of scalable, high-performance web apps with React.js.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and code review for frontend teams.
• Drive architecture decisions for scalability, performance, accessibility, and security.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, UX/UI, Backend, and stakeholders to translate requirements.

Role Overview And Core Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, and development of scalable, high-performance web applications using React.js and modern frontend technologies.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and code review guidance to frontend development teams.
• Drive frontend architecture and design decisions focused on scalability, performance, maintainability, accessibility, and security.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, UX/UI designers, Backend Engineers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Lead Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Ensure the timely delivery of high-quality software through engineering best practices, coding standards, and automated testing.
• Optimize application performance, improve user experience, and implement responsive, cross-browser compatible solutions.
• Work closely with backend teams to integrate RESTful APIs and microservices based architectures.
• Support cloud-native deployments and frontend hosting solutions within AWS and/or GCP environments
• Apply strong Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) knowledge to solve complex technical challenges and improve application efficiency.

Required Knowledge And Experiences

• 10+ years of experience in frontend/web application development, including 2+ years in a technical leadership or Lead Developer role.
• Strong experience in frontend architecture, system design, and modern JavaScript application development.
• Proven experience building enterprise-scale applications using React.js and related frontend ecosystems.
• Hands-on experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and leading cross functional development teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.

Required Technical Skills

• Expert-level proficiency in React.js, JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Strong experience with state management libraries such as Redux, Context API, or Redux Toolkit
• Experience integrating REST APIs and working with modern frontend architecture patterns.
• Working knowledge of AWS (Amazon Web Services) and/or GCP (Google Cloud Platform).
• Strong understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA).
