Job summary

Henkel in Chennai, India seeks an experienced Warehouse Operations Lead to govern 3PL warehouse activities, drive KPI-based performance, and manage contracts and SLAs. The role emphasizes SAP WM/EWM, WMS, EDI, and automation to boost efficiency and visibility.

Candidates should combine cost control, process improvement, and strong cross-functional collaboration to enable scalable warehouse networks and onboarding of new facilities.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years in warehouse operations and supply chain processes.
  • Experience managing 3PL providers, negotiating contracts, monitoring SLAs/KPIs.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP WM/EWM, WMS, EDI, and warehouse automation; Advanced Excel and Power BI.
  • Ability to analyze performance, identify cost savings and drive operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and govern 3PL warehouse operations to ensure adherence to service levels, company policies, operational standards, and contractual commitments.
  • Drive warehouse performance through KPI management, including inventory accuracy, cost control, quality compliance, safety performance, and service excellence.
  • Lead 3PL partner governance and contract management by conducting regular performance reviews, managing SLAs, pricing agreements, and contract lifecycle activities.
  • Oversee warehouse financials and cost optimization through invoice validation, budget monitoring, spend analysis, and identification of cost-saving opportunities.
  • Ensure effective utilization of warehouse systems and technologies, including SAP, WMS, EDI, and automation tools, to enhance operational efficiency and visibility.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity enhancement, process standardization, operational excellence, and supply chain optimization.
  • Ensure compliance, quality, and risk management by maintaining SHEQ standards, supporting audits, conducting risk assessments, and implementing RCA/CAPA actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and leverage data analytics to support strategic decision-making, warehouse network optimization, space utilization, and successful onboarding of new warehouse facilities.

Job description
