Job summary

Exponent Energy in Bengaluru, India seeks a Lead - Vehicle Service (HV, Intercity) to head servicing operations for heavy commercial vehicles, with a focus on buses. The role requires 10–15 years of experience and strong leadership to build and scale service capabilities for EV bus solutions.

The candidate will own end-to-end service processes, develop networks, and collaborate with OEMs to ensure uptime, high service quality, and customer satisfaction in a fast-growing EV ecosystem.

Qualifications

• 10–12+ years of experience in servicing heavy commercial vehicles, with at least 5 years in the Bus segment.

• Build the entire process flow and systems for heavy commercial vehicles (Bus)
• Manage end-to-end service operations including uptime, service and AMC TAT
• Develop service support and network in defined routes/regions
• Improve service delivery, operational efficiency and customer experience
• Ensure timely resolution of service issues to meet customer satisfaction
• Build and maintain relationships with key customers for long-term growth
• Conduct training programs to enhance technical skills and efficiency
• Collaborate with OEM/Partners to establish service touchpoints

What you’ll own:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Service Head to lead and manage the servicing operations for heavy commercial vehicles (Bus). The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of 10+ years in servicing heavy commercial vehicles, strong leadership skills, prior experience in building up the business from the ground up and EV / Bus exposure will be an advantage.

What you’ll do:

• Building the entire process flow and systems for the heavy commercial vehicles (Bus)
• Manage end-to-end service operations including uptime, service and AMC TAT
• Develop service support and network in the defined routes / regions.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve service delivery, operational efficiency, and customer experience
• Ensure timely and efficient resolution of service issues to meet customer satisfaction and organizational standards.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers to ensure long-term business growth
• Conduct training programs to enhance technical skills and operational efficiency
• Collaborate with the OEM / Partners to establish service touch points and support systems
• Foster strong relationships with all the stakeholders both internal and external.
• Work closely with internal teams including Business, Product, Customer Support etc.

What you’ll bring:

• Education qualification
• B.Tech / B.E in Mechanical / Electrical / Automobile Engineering.
• Minimum of 10-12 years of experience in servicing heavy commercial vehicles with at least 5 years experience in the Bus segment.
• Strong technical expertise in heavy commercial vehicle servicing and maintenance.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
