Job summary

Jacobs in Hyderabad, India seeks a Lead Transport Planner to lead transport modelling and data analysis for global projects. You will develop and maintain CUBE models and supervise junior staff in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

You will work with engineers and planners to integrate transport plans with land use strategies, ensuring sustainable development. The role requires 9–15 years in transport planning, including large-scale highway schemes, with global delivery experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s / master’s degree in Transportation engineering/planning or related
• 9 to 15 years of experience of which at least 6-8 years extensive and demonstrated experience in the Transport planning sector for large-scale Infrastructure/Highway schemes preferably in Global delivery models
• Chartered / Professional accreditation desirable, not mandatory

• Evaluating impact of proposed transportation projects and designing roads, railways, and bike lanes.
• Collaborate with engineers, urban planners, and policymakers to integrate transport solutions with land use planning for sustainable development.
• Provide technical oversight by reviewing junior team work and fostering quality and continuous improvement.
• Proficiency with transport modelling tools like EMME/SATURN/VISUM/AIMSUN/LEGION/VISWALK/VISSIM/SIDRA is preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency in traffic forecasting and analysis using advanced methodologies.
• Analyze complex data sets to identify patterns and develop innovative solutions to transportation challenges.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in developing and maintaining transport models using CUBE for various global projects.
• Demonstrated experience of at least 6 years working on CUBE projects in one or more portfolios (UK/ME/ANZ/US).
• Skilled in conducting detailed analysis of transport data to inform planning and decision-making.
• Responsible for conducting research and data analysis to identify transportation challenges and opportunities and developing transportation plans and policies.
• Evaluating the impact of proposed transportation projects. Designing transportation infrastructure, such as roads, railways, and bike lanes.
• Work collaboratively with engineers, urban planners, and policymakers to seamlessly integrate transportation solutions with land use planning, ensuring sustainable development.
• Provide technical oversight by reviewing and checking the work of junior team members, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
• Ability to use either of the transport modelling and analysis tools like EMME/SATURN/VISUM/AIMSUN/LEGION/VISWALK/VISSIM/Junctions9/Sidra/Linsig/Synchro/SIDRA is preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency in traffic forecasting and analysis, utilizing advanced methodologies to predict and manage traffic patterns effectively.
• Analyze complex data sets to identify patterns and develop innovative solutions to transportation challenges, continuously seeking ways to improve processes and outcomes.

Here’s What You Will Need
