Job summary

Guidehouse India is seeking an experienced Trainer to lead Medical Coding Training programs. The role involves educating new coders, auditing accuracy, and guiding junior staff while ensuring compliance with client standards.

The candidate should have 3+ years of trainer experience, AHIMA or AAPC certification, and the ability to coordinate with onshore education teams. This on-site Chennai role emphasizes quality, productivity, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Probation period completed with the organization.
• 3+ years of experience as Trainer.
• Provide education for any new coders.
• Provide training/education for coders in PIP.
• Perform random audit for coders in all the projects.
• Perform random audit for QA’s.
• Create training documents based on major error trends.
• Stay abreast of industry changes and create training documents based on changes.
• Assures coders achieve and maintain a minimum 95% accuracy in coding based on client contract.
• Assures coders maintain average productivity standards while maintaining quality.
• Flexible to work in shifts and coordinate with onshore education team.
• Excellent analytical skills and exposure to basic MS Excel/Word/PPT.
• AAPC or AHIMA certified.

• Responsible for leading daily operations or act as assistant to the supervisor
• May manage certain processes or projects within a defined budget set by leadership.
• Training, delegating, and reviewing the work of lower-level employees.
• Exhibits robust knowledge in functional area
• Ability to assess priorities to ensure that work is completed in a timely manner.
• Ability to collects, compiles, and analyzes moderately complex data and information.
• Subject Matter Expert individual contributor; focused complex delivery, requiring significant experience in area.
