Job summary

Guidehouse India in Chennai seeks an experienced Training Lead for Medical Coding. You will lead experienced support professionals, provide training, audit coders and QA, and ensure 95% accuracy per client contracts.

The role requires probation completion, 3+ years as trainer, certification, and ability to develop training documents, work with onshore education team, and mentor junior coders.

• Leads experienced support professionals who exercise latitude and independence in assignments.
• Applies job knowledge and procedures to accomplish tasks and solve problems, also provides guidance to junior employees.
• Establishes key elements of operational plans with measurable contribution towards the achievement of results Follows operating guidelines and identifies opportunities for enhancements in processes to improve effectiveness of job area.
• Problems are difficult and moderately complex.
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and solve problems.
• Leads experienced support professionals who exercise latitude and independence in assignments.
• Responsible for leading daily operations or act as assistant to the supervisor.
• May manage certain processes or projects within a defined budget set by leadership.
• Training, delegating, and reviewing the work of lower-level employees.
• Exhibits robust knowledge in functional area.
• Ability to assess priorities to ensure that work is completed in a timely manner.
• Ability to collects, compiles, and analyzes moderately complex data and information.
• Subject Matter Expert individual contributor; focused complex delivery, requiring significant experience in area.

What You Will Need

• Should have completed the probation period with the organization.
• 3+ years of experience as Trainer.
• Provide education for any new coders.
• Provide training/education for any coders in PIP.
• Perform random audit for coders in all the projects.
• Perform random audit for QA ‘s.
• Need to create training document based on major error trends.
• Stay abreast of industry changes and create training document based on changes.
• Assures coders achieve and maintain a minimum 95% accuracy in coding based on client contract.
• Assures coders maintain average productivity standards while maintaining quality.
• Flexible to work in shifts and co-ordinate with onshore education team.
• Should have excellent analytical skills and exposure to basic MS Excel/ Word/PPT.
• Ability to provide constant feedback and education to entire coders/QA’s/Leads.
• Should be AAPC or AHIMA certified.

What Would Be Nice To Have

• Experience working in multiple specialties.
• Prior experience in handling client communication or audits.
• Exposure to US Healthcare RCM process.
• Proficiency in coding platforms or tools.
• Ability to train or mentor Junior coders.
• Basic understanding of compliance and HIPAA regulations.
