Job summary

Qualifications

• ITI or equivalent in electronics/electrical discipline.
• 5+ years hands-on electronics assembly and lab support.
• Experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, meters, power supplies.

• Knowledge of 5S practices and inventory basics.
• Strong organizational and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain test setups for prototype builds and board testing.
• Assemble, solder, rework, troubleshoot and repair boards and components.
• Prepare cable harnesses for local production and testing.
• Manage inventory of products, components, and engineering materials.
• Maintain 5S compliant lab organization and cleanliness.
• Monitor and coordinate calibration schedules for instruments.
• Provide technical support to engineering teams during development, validation, and testing.
• Maintain and handle laboratory equipment and assets.

Job description

The Lead Technician provides hands‑on support for engineering development, prototype builds, testing activities, and laboratory operations. The role ensures efficient test setup preparation, assembly and rework support, inventory management, cable harness preparation, and maintenance of laboratory standards and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support prototype build and board testing activities by preparing and maintaining test setups.
• Perform assembly, soldering, rework, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic boards and components.
• Prepare cable harnesses for local production and regression testing.
• Manage inventory of products, components, and engineering materials, ensuring optimal stock levels.
• Maintain laboratory organization and cleanliness in accordance with 5S standards.
• Monitor and coordinate calibration schedules for test and measurement instruments.
• Provide technical support to engineering teams during development, validation, and testing activities.
• Ensure proper maintenance and handling of laboratory equipment, tools, and assets.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualification: ITI (Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, or related discipline).
• Preferred Qualification: Diploma in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in electronics assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and laboratory support.
• Experience working with electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and signal generators.
• Knowledge of soldering, PCB rework, cable harness assembly, and component‑level repair. Basic understanding of inventory management and 5S practices.
