Job summary

Qualifications

  • Graduate with relevant Networking knowledge and CCNA certification.
  • Active CCNA mandatory and security knowledge required.
  • Knowledge of appliances is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of cloud or data is advantageous.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a high-scale environment.
  • Experience in driving high-priority incidents with GNOC.
  • Ability to report on operational health and drive improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Act as subject matter expert for LAN, WAN, Firewalls, DNS, and Load Balancers.
  • Monitor and mentor Network engineers across shifts.
  • Translate decisions into practical guidelines, policies and implementation plans.
  • Oversee and maintain department KPIs/KSIs and ensure policy compliance.
  • Coordinate incident response with GNOC and external service providers.
  • Provide technical consultation to internal business partners.
  • Prioritize incidents across shifts and manage the queue 24x7.
  • Liaise between feature teams and GNOC on initiatives.
  • Own and drive department initiatives including automation and new services.
  • Drive shift standups and governance calls; assume product ownership within the department.

ResponsibilitiesOverview- Provide subject matter expertise for LAN, WAN, Firewalls, DNS, Loadbalancers- Monitor and Mentor Network engineers in respective shifts- Translate decisions into practical guidelines, policies and implementation plans.- Oversee & Maintain department KPIs / KSIs- Ensure compliance with policies, guidelines, and standard operating proceduresProfile required- Graduate- Active CCNA mandatory, knowledge on Security mandatory- Knowledge on appliances will be added advantage- Knowledge on cloud / Data will be added advantage- Excellent written and Verbal communication skills- Ability to work under pressure related to scale of business impact- Drive high priority incidents from GNOC along with the experts- Report on the operational health of the global connectivity infrastructure, driving improvements where needed working closely with our external service providers.- Provide technical consultation to internal business partners.- Prioritize incidents across the shifts towards resolution.
