ValueMomentum Hyderabad is seeking an experienced CA-7 Administrator / Scheduler to manage CA-7 environments and calendars, ensuring smooth batch execution. You will work with application and production teams to support complex scheduling, holidays, and business-day rules.

The role requires 6–8 years in CA-7 administration, strong JCL knowledge, and hands-on scheduling in a mainframe environment. This office-based position offers collaboration across global teams within a dynamic insurance tech

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of experience in CA-7 Administration / Scheduler Administration / Mainframe Scheduling.
• Strong hands-on experience with CA-7 Administration.
• Experience creating, modifying, and maintaining CA-7 calendars.
• Experience adding company holidays and defining working/non-working days.
• Strong experience handling complex scheduling requirements and scheduling changes.
• Hands-on experience with batch monitoring and scheduling in a production environment.
• Good knowledge of JCL and Mainframe batch processing.
• Experience troubleshooting batch scheduling issues and production abends.
• Knowledge of Unix/Linux environments and Shell Scripting.
• Knowledge or experience with Endevor or other version control tools.
• Knowledge or experience with ServiceNow or similar service management applications.

Responsibilities

• Administer and manage CA-7 scheduling environments and ensure smooth execution of batch schedules.
• Create, modify, and maintain CA-7 calendars based on business and application requirements.
• Add and manage company holidays and define working/non-working days within CA-7 calendars.
• Handle holiday schedules and business-day scheduling requirements.
• Perform complex scheduling changes and ensure dependencies are configured accurately.
• Analyze and adjust daily, weekly, and monthly job streams based on application requirements.
• Monitor scheduled jobs and ensure they execute in the correct sequence and within defined timelines.
• Coordinate with application owners and production teams for scheduling changes and special production requirements.
• Support troubleshooting of batch scheduling issues and production abends.
• Manage ad hoc jobs and special production runs as required.
• Maintain scheduling-related documentation and operational procedures.
• Communicate scheduling changes, issues, and status updates effectively with relevant stakeholders.

As a CA-7 Administrator / Scheduler Administrator, you will be responsible for administering and managing CA-7 scheduling environments, including creating and modifying calendars, handling complex scheduling requirements, and managing business-day and holiday schedules. The ideal candidate should have strong hands‑on experience in CA-7 administration, CA-7 calendar management, complex scheduling, and batch scheduling, along with a good understanding of JCL and Mainframe environments.

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with application, production, and business teams.
