Support commodity buys.* Assess supplier capabilities and make recommendations on purchases with new vendor developments* Acts as functional expert for the development and negotiation of purchasing contracts for the organization e.g. for partnering, strategic alliances, technology transfers. Provides contracting expertise as needed across the organization. Take initiatives & propose Vendor Development, cost reductions, Lead-time reduction, lean etc.* Manage supplier relationships in the best interest of company* Work across factory teams and in tandem with Engineering, Shop, MMI, Process specialists, Quality (Shop + Supplier), Purchase & Logistics teams for timely supplies* RFQ preparation based on all the technical information and requirement.* Cost estimation, Quotation Tabulation and Budgetary cost consumption data preparation.* Negotiation with selected vendors.
