Job summary

Cyient is seeking an experienced mechanical engineer to lead FE modeling and simulation for heavy equipment development. You will validate meshed models in Teamcenter NX and Abaqus, perform fatigue and dynamic analyses, and deliver actionable design improvements.

The role requires strong collaboration with design, manufacturing and product engineering teams to ensure robust and manufacturable solutions across assemblies and subsystems.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree required with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities; cross-functional collaboration expected.

Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical simulation and analysis to support product design and development in the heavy equipment domain.
  • Develop, review, and validate FE models, mesh quality, and simulation setups with appropriate loads and boundary conditions.
  • Conduct structural, dynamic, fatigue, and bolt joint analyses to evaluate product performance and durability.
  • Analyze simulation results and present findings through graphical reports and engineering recommendations.
  • Identify and implement design improvements to enhance strength, reliability, manufacturability and overall performance.
  • Collaborate with design, manufacturing and product engineering teams throughout the lifecycle.
  • Support concept development and detailed design of complex components and subsystems.
  • Contribute to sheet metal structures, castings, weldments and manufacturing processes.

Job description

  • Perform mechanical simulation and analysis to support product design and development in the heavy equipment domain.

  • Contribute to concept development and detailed design of complex components and subsystems.
  • Support engineering activities related to sheet metal structures, castings, weldments, and manufacturing processes.
  • Ensure effective integration of simulation methodologies into the product design and validation process.
