TRATON seeks a seasoned Sourcing Manager (Commodity & Project) to secure the right cost and capacity of parts for production. You will independently perform sourcing activities, broaden your technical and business skills, and align with Sweden & Asia strategies and the Business Plan.

You will drive supplier selection, contract negotiations, and PPAP activity, ensuring timely procurement and strong supplier relationships across regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline is required.
• 14–18 years in purchasing, sourcing, procurement in automotive/manufacturing sectors.
• Experience with suppliers from India and global sourcing preferred.
• Knowledge of ERP systems and MS Office is advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Lead sourcing and procurement activities aligned with business plan.
• Identify new suppliers for technology, quality, delivery and cost improvements.
• Negotiate contracts and non-disclosure agreements as needed.
• Manage supplier time plans from concept to SOCOP +6 months and PPAP.
• Coordinate technical reviews within Forward Sourcing processes.
• Evaluate change requests and ensure offers are technically and commercially sound.

The main responsibility of the Sourcing Manager(Commodity & Project) is to ensure the procurement to the right c cost and the right capacity of parts in running production, by independently performing activities and supporting the Sweden & Asia andaligned with the Business Plan. In this role you furtherbroaden /deepen own professional skills, competences and expertise.

To ensure that you will-

Material groupresponsibilities

• Provides input to thesupplier base
• Identifies newsuppliers connected to new technologies within the product development projects(PD) to ensure improvement of Technology, Quality, Delivery and Cost, focusingon Sustainability (TQDCS).

Sourcingresponsibilities

• Sourcing of parts within product development projects, alignedwith strategies and decided in the material group management/business plan.
• Sources prototypeswith possible support.
• Quote review, feedback and negotiation.
• Ensures that offersare comparable from a project and technical point of view.
• Ensures purchasingand supplier time plan from concept phase to start of customer order production(SOCOP) +6 months, including Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) requestand submission, and material home.
• Ensures project andtechnical aspects during negotiations, such as non-disclosure agreements (NDA)and development contracts and technical reviews within the Forward Sourcingprocess.
• Evaluates andnegotiates change requests.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanicalengineering, Automobile Engineering, Industrial Engineering, MetallurgicalEngineering, Production Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or relateddiscipline.
• 14 to 18 years of experience inpurchasing, sourcing, supply chain, procurement, or supplier management withinautomotive, manufacturing, engineering industries or International procurement(Global sourcing).
• Experience in handling suppliersfrom India.
• Hands on experience in working onsourcing of Castings or Forgings or Machining or standard components is must. Experienceon other commodities is added advantage.
• Knowledge of procurementsystems, ERP tools, supplier quality processes, Microsoft Office, especiallyExcel and engineering change management will be an added advantage.
