Job summary

Qnity seeks a Semi/Qualified Cost Accountant to drive month-end close, inventory and cost accounting processes in Hyderabad. You will leverage SAP MM, handle manufacturing and inventory costing, and contribute to pricing analyses.

The role requires flexibility to work APAC/EMEA/US shifts during month-end and a hybrid work model (3 days in office, 2 days remote). Ideal candidates have 2–4 years in cost accounting, strong organizational and communication skills, and a proactive mindset to improve

Qualifications

• Semi / Qualified Cost Accountants with 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in Cost Accounting area along with exposure to SAP MM.
• Experience in Manufacturing Accounting, Inventory Accounting, Product Costing & Pricing.
• ERP exposure for 1 year preferred.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing business needs and requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely & qualitative performance of month-end activities related to Inventory & Cost Accounting and Reporting.
• Become a Subject Matter Expert and provide necessary support to the team.
• Support Regional Business Analysts / Finance Managers / Controllers as required.
• Prepare Metrics, Dashboards, KPIs for reporting to Management.
• Drive Process improvements and maintain SOP documentation up to date.
• Ensure adherence to Internal Controls (SOX & Non-SOX) and support audits.
• Provide best-in-class service to client and ensure customer delight.

Job Description

• Ensure timely & qualitative performance of month-end and during the month activities related to Inventory & Cost Accounting and Reporting -Plant Closing, Inventory Valuation, Pre & Post Close Analysis, Inventory General Ledgers & Transfer Profit Reconciliations, ad-hoc business queries etc.,
• Should work towards becoming a Subject Matter Expert and provide necessary support to the team.
• Provide required support to Regional Business Analysts / Finance Managers/ Controllers as and when required.
• Provide support in timely preparation of Metrics, Dashboards, KPls for reporting to Management.
• Drive Process improvements and keeping SOP documentation up to date.
• Ensure adherence to all applicable Internal Controls (SOX & Non-SOX) and provide necessary support for smooth completion of Internal & External Audits.
• Provide best-of-the-best service to client and ensure Customer delight.

Job Qualification Requirements

• Semi / Qualified Cost Accountants with 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in Cost Accounting area along with exposure to SAP MM.
• Experience in the following areas would be preferred:

• 2. Inventory Accounting
• 3. Product Costing & Pricing
• Exposure to ERP environment for a period of 1 year preferred.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing business needs and requirements.
• Must be able to work well under pressure and have a strong understanding of business processes and systems.
• Well organized & time management skills.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple teams spread over different countries, centers and time zones.
• Must possess strong & effective written and verbal communication & presentation skills.
• Ability to succeed in a team environment.
• General Shift: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (or) 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM.
• Should be comfortable to work in APAC (5 AM to 2 PM) or EMEA Shift (11.30 AM to 8.30 PM) or US Shift (5.30 PM to 2.30 AM) during month end closing for 3 to 5 days.
• Should be comfortable to work in Hybrid work environment (3 days from office, 2 days remote).
