Job summary

Aptia is seeking a highly analytical Analyst to join our Technology Solutions team. This role focuses on delivering expert calculation and automation analysis to support client implementations and operations.

You will interpret complex pension data, design high-quality solutions, and mentor peers across the analyst community, collaborating with stakeholders to drive best practices.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
• Deep understanding of UK (preferable)/US pensions legislation and administration software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
• Proven leadership in technical forums and mentoring roles.
• Experience in Employee Benefits or Life & Pensions industries.
• Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or ITIL methodologies.
• Knowledge of calculation engines and programming principles.

Responsibilities

• Provide calculation and automation expertise for client implementations and system operations
• Analyse scheme documentation, actuarial instructions, and data sets to support accurate pension calculations
• Translate client requirements into clear, testable specifications and documentation
• Develop and execute robust testing strategies to ensure high-quality deliverables
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and document functional changes to core products and tools
• Lead technical discussions, mentor junior analysts, and drive best practices across the team
• Stay current with pensions legislation and industry trends to ensure compliance and innovation
