S&P Global Market Intelligence in India seeks a senior Java/Spring Boot engineer to design, develop, test, and support secure, scalable REST services and applications deployed on AWS.

You will implement Terraform IaC, manage CI/CD with GitHub, strengthen security with CodeQL/Dependabot, and build observability with Splunk while collaborating across teams. This role requires 9+ years of hands-on experience and a Bachelor's degree.

About the Role

Grade Level (for internal use): 11 The Team: You will join a team of developers, architects, and product partners designing and supporting secure, scalable, and highly available applications and REST services. The work combines hands-on Java development with deploying and operating applications in AWS.

Responsibilities and Impact

• Design, develop, test, and support secure, scalable, highly available applications and REST services using Java and Spring/Spring Boot
• Deploy and manage applications in AWS using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code principles
• Use GitHub and CI/CD pipelines for source control, automated builds, testing, and deployments
• Build security into the SDLC and drive remediation of vulnerabilities found by CodeQL, Dependabot, Wiz, and other tools
• Implement application logging with Splunk and support monitoring, troubleshooting, and observability
• Provide production support and collaborate with developers, architects, and product teams to continuously improve reliability and performance

What We’re Looking For

Basic Required Qualifications

• 9+ years of software development experience, with strong hands-on expertise in Java and Spring/Spring Boot
• Strong experience designing and developing RESTful services and APIs, with hands-on AWS development and deployment
• Experience with Terraform, GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines
• Strong understanding of application security (secure coding, authentication/authorization, vulnerability management) and experience with CodeQL, Dependabot, and Wiz
• Experience with Splunk for logging and troubleshooting, and an understanding of observability, monitoring, metrics, and alerting
• Collaborates effectively with developers, architects, product teams, and other stakeholders
• Strong troubleshooting skills for complex production issues

Additional Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
