Job summary

EPAM Systems in India seeks a Senior Mainframe Developer to lead analysis, design, development, testing and production support of Mainframe applications. You will mentor teams, drive modernization initiatives, and ensure adherence to standards.

You will optimize Db2 queries, handle high-volume processing, and coordinate with BAs, architects, QA, and onsite stakeholders in a fast-paced Agile/Scrum environment. Fluency in English (B2+) required; knowledge of z/OS, Endevor, Changeman is a plus.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional experience in Mainframe development.
• Proficiency in COBOL, CICS, and Db2 UDB.
• Expertise in JCL and VSAM.
• Background in Mainframe application architecture and development lifecycle.
• Skills in SQL and Db2 performance tuning.
• Experience handling high-volume transactional applications.
• Knowledge of batch and online processing environments.
• Familiarity with production support and incident resolution.
• Proficiency in English at an Upper-Intermediate level (B2) or higher.
• Nice to have Understanding of IBM z/OS.
• Familiarity with Endevor, Changeman, or equivalent source control tools.
• Knowledge of MQ Series and REXX.
• Skills in File-AID, SPUFI, and SDSF.
• Experience with Mainframe modernization initiatives and Agile/Scrum delivery model.
