Job summary

Epam Systems Pune invites a Lead Software Engineer to own backend design for Java with Spring Boot and drive engineering standards across distributed services. You will build Java 21/Quarkus microservices, expose RESTful APIs, and ensure secure deployments on Azure Cloud with Kubernetes and CI/CD.

Qualifications

• Extensive 5+ years of experience in design and development using Java 21, Quarkus, and Java/JEE.
• Proficient with Spring Boot, Spring Security, and JUnit.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases, including Oracle, Sybase, and PL/SQL.
• Proven experience in microservices architecture, Azure Cloud, and Serverless solutions.
• Good understanding of Kubernetes, including pods, containers, services, and Istio.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Redis.
• Strong capability in RESTful APIs and connecting backend services with frontend applications.
• Experience using Git/GitLab CI/CD pipelines and working in Agile teams.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
