Job summary

Societe Generale Global Solution Centre in Bengaluru is seeking a seasoned Java Microservices Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems using modern microservices patterns.

You will develop RESTful APIs with Java, Spring Boot, and PostgreSQL, contribute to Camunda 8 workflows, and collaborate in an Agile environment while upholding high standards for CI/CD, TDD, and containerized deployments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Java and microservices development experience.
• Hands-on with Java, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, Camunda 8.
• Experience with Docker/Kubernetes and CI/CD.
• Experience with BPMN and Camunda/Zeebe is a plus.

Job Description – Java Microservices Developer, Camunda

Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled Java Microservices Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using modern microservices architecture.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices
• Work with PostgreSQL for database design and optimization
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile environment
• Ensure code quality using best practices such as CI/CD and TDD
• Deploy and manage services using container technologies

Required Skills

• Practical experience with microservice architecture
• Knowledge of Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, JUNIT, Maven
• Practical experience with creating unit tests
• Kubernetes, HELM charts, Istio
• Kafka and Kafka Streams
• Artemis MQ messaging
• PostgreSQL and SQL
• Elastic (primarily Elasticsearch and Kibana)
• HTTP, TLS, working with certificates and Java keystores
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of Camunda 8, Zeebe Engine, gRPC protocol, knowledge of BPMN notation
• Knowledge of Frontend development (Angular) is advantage
• Knowledge of Big Data solution is advantage
• Knowledge of Devops support of Applications is advantage
• Be capable of handling end‑to‑end delivery, including requirements analysis, solution design, and contributing to architectural decisions is advantage

Experience

Minimum 5+ years of relevant development experience in Java and microservices-based systems.
