Job summary

Siemens in Pune seeks a Lead Software Engineer to drive embedded systems design and architecture. You will lead a development team of 6 to 10 engineers, shape solutions across sub-systems, and contribute hands-on in Embedded C/C++ on Linux.

The role requires 13–15 years of experience, strong debugging and toolchain skills (JIRA, Polarion/DOORS, GIT), and the ability to communicate across cultures. UML/Enterprise Architect experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• BE in Electronics & Communication or CS.
• 13–15 years of experience required in embedded software.
• Hands-on in designing and architecting Embedded Systems solutions.
• Proficient in Embedded C, C++ and Linux based development.
• Strong knowledge of multi-threading and IPCs.
• Experience leading a development team of 6–10 members.
• Familiar with JIRA, Polarion/DOORS and Git for backlog and requirements.
• Hands-on with I2C, SPI, UART, RF, cell modems, GPS, display, EEPROM, SD cards.
• Experience with Bootloader and basic hardware debugging tools.
• Shell scripting, Kernel debugging, GDB, and JTAG knowledge.
• Strong communication to lead cross-cultural teams; design tools like UML.

We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer

• BE in Electronics & Communication / CS
• Experience level: 13-15 years
• Hands on experience on designing and architecting Embedded Systems solutions
• Hands on experience on Embedded C, C++ and Linux based application development.
• Strong concepts on multi-threading and IPCs.
• Experience with designing large applications that involve multiple sub-systems and components.
• Experience of leading a development team of 6 to 10 team members.
• Hands on experience in reviewing system and software requirements, architecting and designing solutions to meet the requirements.
• Experience with backlog management tools like JIRA, requirement management tools like Polarion/ DOORS, GIT.
• Hands on experience on I2C, SPI, UART, RF, Cell Modems, GPS, Display, EEPROM, SD-Card etc
• Hands on experience on Bootloader
• Hands on experience on Basic Hardware level debugging (Multi meter, Oscilloscope, Signal generator, Power supplies, Soldering)
• Shell scripts
• Hands on experience on Kernel Debugging, GDB, JTAG
• Strong communication skills to lead a cross-cultural team.
• Strong negotiation skills
• Good to have:
• Exposure to applications that involve frontend components and configuration tools.
• Able to understand end to end workflows
• Design tools like UML, Enterprise Architect
• Exposure to Spec Driven Development Approach with AI
