Our client is a fast‑growing AI‑driven SaaS company building intelligent automation solutions for enterprise finance teams. Their platform leverages artificial intelligence, machine learning, natural language processing, and modern cloud technologies to automate complex finance and accounting workflows across Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.

They are seeking a Lead Software Engineer to design and build scalable AI‑enabled SaaS products for enterprise finance automation. The role requires a strong engineering leader with deep backend development expertise, hands‑on cloud experience, and practical exposure to integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) into production systems. The engineer will work closely with cross‑functional global teams to build intelligent workflows, scalable distributed systems, and AI‑powered product capabilities in a fast‑moving startup environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the design, architecture, and development of core platform capabilities hosted on AWS
• Build and optimize AI‑powered product features leveraging LLMs, RAG pipelines, and agentic workflows
• Design scalable and reliable backend systems for enterprise SaaS applications
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams across geographies
• Deliver high‑quality solutions aligned with the product roadmap and customer needs
• Contribute to engineering best practices, system reliability, and performance optimization
• Work closely with teams to continuously improve platform scalability, observability, and operational efficiency
• Support and promote a strong engineering and product culture

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands‑on software engineering experience building and shipping scalable products
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline
• Strong coding expertise in Node.js
• Experience building and integrating LLM‑based applications into production workflows
• Practical understanding of prompt engineering, output validation, latency optimization, and cost optimization for AI systems
• Strong experience in system design, distributed systems, and data modeling
• Experience building multi‑tenant SaaS platforms
• Hands‑on experience with AWS cloud services and cloud‑native architectures
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, containers, and monitoring tools
• Experience working with relational and large‑scale data systems
• Comfortable working in fast‑paced startup environments with evolving priorities
• Strong ownership mindset and problem‑solving ability
• Experience working within Agile engineering teams
• Must be based in or willing to relocate to Hyderabad

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with RAG pipelines, vector databases, embedding models, or agentic AI frameworks such as LangChain or LangGraph
• Working knowledge of Python for AI/ML integration and data pipeline development
• Experience with AWS services such as Step Functions, Kinesis, Cassandra, ELK, and RDS
• Exposure to enterprise integrations including SSO, email systems, and workflow orchestration
• Prior experience working in AI SaaS, FinTech, enterprise automation, or workflow platforms
• Educational background from premier engineering institutions is an advantage
