Job summary

Photon, a global leader in AI and digital solutions, seeks a Lead GCP Platform Engineer to steer Greenfield cloud initiatives in Bangalore. You will design, implement, and maintain scalable GCP environments, collaborating with development, DevOps, and infra teams to advance cloud adoption and automation.

You will lead IaC with Terraform, build CI/CD pipelines, enforce code quality with SonarQube, and ensure reliability, security, and governance across projects in a fast-paced Agile setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 7+ years of overall IT experience with at least 3+ years of hands-on experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Strong experience with Docker and containerization technologies.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and SonarQube.
• Proficiency in Bash/Shell scripting and Groovy scripting for Jenkins automation.
• Strong understanding of YAML and JSON configurations.

Responsibilities

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experiencedLead GCP Platform Engineerto join our team in Bangalore. In this role, you will lead Greenfield cloud initiatives and be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and highly available Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments. You will work closely with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to drive cloud adoption, automation, and operational excellence.

• GCP Certifications such as Professional Cloud Architect or Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer.
• Experience with Apigee API Management and Microservices Architecture.
