Job summary

Aqilea is seeking a Senior GCP Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate secure, scalable cloud platforms on Google Cloud. You will drive IaC, CI/CD, automation, and platform governance across deployments.

The role emphasizes Python development with FastAPI, PostgreSQL optimization, and collaboration with product teams to improve developer experience and platform adoption. This is a remote position with immediate to 15 days notice.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, or similar role.
• Strong experience with Python development.
• Hands-on experience with FastAPI or similar backend frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL administration, performance tuning, and integrations.
• Extensive experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Solid experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Strong understanding of DevOps, SRE, and platform engineering principles.
• Experience designing secure, scalable, and maintainable cloud architectures.
