Lead Software Development Engineer [T500-15898]

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, prototype, and demonstrate new features and components for front-end and back-end systems to users, ensuring compliance with requirements.
- Assist in designing, implementing, and optimizing related approaches, tools, and workflows.
- Collaborate with technical teams, business teams, and product managers to ensure that developed code aligns with their vision.
- Design solutions to meet both functional and technical requirements.
- Ensure adherence to Security/Compliance frameworks and control requirements.
- Own quality standards; write automated tests ideally before coding.
- Develop and maintain code.
- Create delivery pipelines and automated deployment scripts.
- Configure services such as databases and monitoring tools.
- Implement Service Reliability Engineering practices.
- Address issues from development through production, including being on call for support.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in designing, developing, and deploying RESTful microservices.
- Professional experience with Agile methodologies.
- Experience with DevOps principles, practices, and tools in an enterprise environment.
- Experience working within an AWS cloud infrastructure or similar enterprise cloud provider.
- Experience with RedHat OpenShift on AWS is a plus.
- Experience with JMS, Kafka, or other MQ/Topic systems.
- Knowledge of the full Software Development Lifecycle, CI/CD pipelines, and Test Driven Development.
- Understanding of Application Security principles and 12-factor app development.
- Proficiency with source control tools like GIT, and build tools.
- Experience with SonarQube, Veracode, or BlackDuck scanning tools.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases, SQL, JDBC.
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Experience in airline technology environments.
- Ability to adapt to emerging technologies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with minimal supervision.
