Lead Software Development Engineer [T500-15898]

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Design, prototype, and demonstrate new features and components for front-end and back-end systems to users, ensuring compliance with requirements.
Assist in designing, implementing, and optimizing related approaches, tools, and workflows.
Collaborate with technical teams, business teams, and product managers to ensure that developed code aligns with their vision.
Design solutions to meet both functional and technical requirements.
Ensure adherence to Security/Compliance frameworks and control requirements.
Own quality standards; write automated tests ideally before coding.
Develop and maintain code.
Create delivery pipelines and automated deployment scripts.
Configure services such as databases and monitoring tools.
Implement Service Reliability Engineering practices.
Address issues from development through production, including being on call for support.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience in designing, developing, and deploying RESTful microservices.
Professional experience with Agile methodologies.
Experience with DevOps principles, practices, and tools in an enterprise environment.
Experience working within an AWS cloud infrastructure or similar enterprise cloud provider.
Experience with RedHat OpenShift on AWS is a plus.
Experience with JMS, Kafka, or other MQ/Topic systems.
Knowledge of the full Software Development Lifecycle, CI/CD pipelines, and Test Driven Development.
Understanding of Application Security principles and 12-factor app development.
Proficiency with source control tools like GIT, and build tools.
Experience with SonarQube, Veracode, or BlackDuck scanning tools.
Strong knowledge of relational databases, SQL, JDBC.
Familiarity with NoSQL databases.
Embraces diversity and inclusive thinking.
Prioritizes safety and security for self and others.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
Experience in airline technology environments.
Ability to adapt to emerging technologies.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with minimal supervision.
