Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Lead Software Developer - Java with AWS Cloud in Hyderabad. You will drive Java-based services and AWS cloud delivery across front-end and microservices, leading technical decisions and partnering with architects and the CTO organization.

You will own API contracts, data-model quality, and ensure governance standards while mentoring teams in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience building front-end applications, microservices, and REST APIs.
• Hands-on development with Java, Node.js and Spring Boot for API/microservices.
• Deep knowledge of AWS services (ECS, Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, CloudWatch).
• Experience with DynamoDB/Aurora databases and API testing tools.
• Strong Agile practice and excellent client-facing communication.

Requirements

• Proven track record with 8+ years building front‑end applications, microservices, and REST APIs
• Hands‑on experience with Java, Node.js, and SpringBoot for API and microservices development
• Deep understanding of AWS Cloud services including ECS, Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, and CloudWatch
• Solid background working with database technologies such as DynamoDB and Aurora
• Practical knowledge of Agile methodology and API testing tools
• Working knowledge of monitoring platforms such as Splunk
• Strong client‑facing communication skills with confident presentation ability
• High attention to detail with comfort navigating ambiguity while keeping work organized
• Demonstrated experience leading teams and coordinating with groups like Vanguard Database, the CTO organization, and API Economy initiatives
• Ability to clarify technical ambiguity and deliver well‑defined solutions

• Familiarity with Python programming
• Ability to work with data pipelines in cloud‑native environments
• Experience building solutions that connect business insight with API economy principles
