Job summary

EPAM Systems is expanding its platform and seeks a Lead Software Developer - Java with AWS Cloud to steer Java and SpringBoot microservices, REST APIs, and AWS services. You will unblock delivery, raise quality, and partner across stakeholders on planning and governance.

Responsibilities include owning tech solutions, setting technical direction, resolving blockers, and collaborating with architects and the CTO organization to ensure governance and best practices.

Qualifications

• Extensive 8+ years of experience building front-end applications, microservices, and REST APIs.
• Proven experience with Java, Node.js, and SpringBoot including API and microservices development.
• Strong AWS Cloud knowledge across ECS, Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, and CloudWatch.
• Familiarity with DynamoDB and Aurora as database technologies.
• Experience working in Agile methodology and using API testing tools.
• Working knowledge of Splunk monitoring platforms.
• Strong communication skills for client-facing engagement with solid presentation ability.
• Detail-oriented execution style with comfort in ambiguity while keeping structure.
• Experience leading teams and coordinating with Vanguard Database, the CTO organization, and API Economy initiatives.
• Ability to clarify technical uncertainty and deliver well-defined solutions.
