Job summary

FIS Global Business Solutions India Private Ltd. is seeking a Lead Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to shape reliability for core services in a hybrid Chennai setup. You will define SLIs/SLOs, monitor error budgets, and drive automation across CI/CD and container platforms.

The role requires 8–12 years of experience in performance monitoring, scripting, and scalable infrastructure, with fintech domain familiarity preferred. Hybrid in-office and remote collaboration is expected.

Qualifications

• Must have strong knowledge of performance monitoring tools (Dynatrace, Splunk) and ability to create dashboards, views and alerts.
• Knowledge of OS, Network, Middleware, Database, SSL, Load Balancer.
• Proficient in scripting languages (Unix Shell, Windows Scripting, Python, Java, .NET).
• Hands-on with at least one scripting language (Unix/Windows Scripting, Python, Java, C++, C#).
• Ability to automate repetitive tasks - (Scripting, RPA, Power Automate, UiPath).
• Ability to implement AI models in problem solving and reduce MTTR.
• Experience with Virtualization / Containerization (Kubernetes, etc.).
• Analytical mindset with passion for problem solving.
• Preferable to Have Banking / Payments Product Domain Knowledge and Fintech experience.

• Defines meaningful SLIs, SLOs for owned services; tracks error budgets and burn rates.

What you bring:

• Experience in Fintech working in Fintech Companies with rich Domain Experience
