Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end hub operations including inbound, sortation, dispatch and linehaul.
• Lead a large workforce across shifts and implement rostering and productivity initiatives.
• Maintain KPI performance for pendency, SLA adherence, throughput, and cost efficiency.
• Govern automation systems like Linear and Crossbelt sorters and SOP adherence.
• Coordinate with pickup, delivery, first mile, last mile, and central teams.
• Manage vendor and 3PL partnerships ensuring SLA compliance and cost efficiency.
• Develop contingency plans for peak periods and disruptions.
• Represent hub in governance calls and publish regular performance reviews.

Job description

KeyResponsibilities

1.End-to-End Hub Operations Management

• Drive end-to-end operations of the Sortation Center/Mother Hub, ensuring smooth movement of Marketplace, FBF, Resort, Semi-Large, Reverse Logistics, and 3PL shipments.
• Own daily inbound, sortation, dispatch, and linehaul operations to achieve business throughput and service targets.
• Ensure optimal utilization of hub capacity, infrastructure, and automation systems to maximize throughput and operational efficiency.
• Monitor shipment aging and ensure no operational backlog impacts customer promise timelines.

2.Team Management & Leadership

• Lead and manage a large workforce comprising Operations Executives, Shift Managers, Floor Supervisors, Hub In-Charges, and frontline manpower.
• Drive manpower planning, shift rostering, productivity management, and workforce optimization across multiple shifts.
• Build a strong ownership-driven culture focused on safety, discipline, quality, and operational excellence.
• Coach and mentor frontline leaders to strengthen succession planning and team capability.

3.SLA, Quality & Performance Management

• Own and drive critical operational KPIs including:
  • Daily Pendency
  • Breach 60 / Breach 120
  • CPD Breach
  • Non-FBF SLA Adherence
  • Shipment Aging
  • Sort Accuracy & Missort Control
  • Dispatch Adherence
  • Vehicle Utilization
  • Productivity & Cost Efficiency
• Ensure strict adherence to customer and business SLAs while maintaining high throughput.
• Drive continuous monitoring and governance to ensure timely clearance of shipment pendency and zero backlog situations.

4.Automation & Process Excellence

• Manage Automated Sortation Systems (Linear Sorter/Crossbelt Sorter) including governance of happy and unhappy flow operations.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs and operational standards across shifts.
• Identify bottlenecks, process gaps, and operational inefficiencies, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance throughput, quality, and operational productivity.

5.Linehaul & Network Coordination

• Coordinate closely with Pickup Hubs (PH), Delivery Hubs (DH), First Mile, Last Mile, and Central teams for seamless shipment flow across the network.
• Ensure timely placement and utilization of Linehaul (LH) vehicles to avoid dispatch delays and shipment pendency.
• Lead network planning and operational preparedness during peak periods, festive ramps, and surge volumes.

6.Vendor, Cost & Stakeholder Management

• Manage external logistics partners and 3PL vendors for shipment movement and operational support.
• Ensure vendor SLA adherence, productivity, and compliance standards while driving operational cost efficiency.
• Support site-level cost governance through productivity optimization, manpower planning, transport utilization, and efficient resource deployment.
• Collaborate closely with HR, Security, Admin, Finance, IT, Transport, and Central Operations teams to ensure seamless business continuity.
• Demonstrate commercial awareness of operational cost drivers; exposure to P&L (Profit & Loss) management, budgeting, and cost optimization will be an added advantage.

7.Peak & Contingency Management

• Lead site operations during business peaks, festive ramps, and high-volume events, ensuring uninterrupted execution.
• Develop contingency plans for manpower shortages, weather disruptions, transport constraints, system downtimes, and operational exigencies.
• Drive structured recovery mechanisms and escalation management to minimize business impact during contingencies.

8.Governance & Reporting

• Represent the hub in central governance calls and PH-MH reviews, highlighting operational performance, risks, and mitigation actions.
• Publish daily/weekly operational reviews covering throughput, pendency, SLA adherence, productivity, cost, and network concerns.
• Leverage data-driven insights to improve operational performance and drive decision-making.

PreferredQualifications
