Job summary

GE Vernova seeks an experienced field service professional to provide technical direction and guidance for power equipment outage services at customer sites. You will coordinate maintenance activities and oversee field service engineering while ensuring quality across the team in dynamic environments.

The role requires strong communication skills and a background in Services & Field Service with an engineering degree or diploma.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years of experience in the Services & Field Service and Technical Advising.
• B.E./B.Tech or Diploma from a government-accredited University, Institute, or Institution.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction and guidance to craft labor in support of a power equipment outage.
• Develop policy/strategy understanding and support roles with specialized technical knowledge.
• Understand key business drivers and help integrate work across teams.
• Exercise autonomy within defined framework and resolve issues within procedures.
• Lead a junior team and build strong customer relationships; act as interface between customer and GE.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction and guidance to craft labor in support of a power equipment outage
• Broadening knowledge of own technical discipline to execute policy/strategy. May include support roles with specialized technical field of knowledge; still acquiring higher level knowledge and skills.
• Basic understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. Good understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
• May have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework. Resolves issues in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures. Consults more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
• A job at this level requires good interpersonal skills and may be required to lead a junior team. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Explains technical information to others.

Required Qualifications
