Job summary

Škoda Auto Volkswagen India Private Limited is seeking a Head Services / Coordinator to lead purchasing for services and logistics, including scrap sales, in Pune. The role requires guiding a team, coordinating with brands, and ensuring cost efficiency while aligning with VW India’s processes.

You will manage supplier negotiations, participate in corporate sourcing discussions, and drive performance improvements across the purchasing function within the VW Group framework.

Qualifications

• B.E or Management or equivalent field is required.
• Experience greater than 8 years in purchasing/related roles.
• Knowledge of purchasing processes and related SAP/KSRM systems.
• Strong negotiation and problem solving abilities.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead section with 5+ team members or as per organization structure.
• Coordinate and work with brands for effective planning and execution of purchasing activities.
• Work in integration with above functions to optimize processes.
• Achieve savings targets and KPIs set by VW India and VW Group.
• Prepare and participate in CSC meetings and other decision forums.
• Lead price negotiations with suppliers and monitor performance.

Purpose of the Position

• Plan and supervise specific items and prepare relevant data for decision making .
• Represent General Purchasing for the specific items within VW India and or VW group .
• Support and Prepare status reports for Head General Purchasing , Marketing Management and / or VW WOB .
• Ensure accurate information in all reports and communications .
• Optimize information systems and processes with other business units .

Authority

• Approve purchase orders in KSRM and SAP .
• Approve the new supplier registrations , the supplier data change management in KSRM and SAP .
• Approval of supplier code in SAP and KSRM (CSM)

Responsibilities And Tasks

• Coordinate and work with various brands for the effective planning and excecution of purchasing activities
• Work in integration with the above respective functions
• Acheive savings targets and KPIs established by VW India management and VW Group board as applicable .
• Preparation and participation in Pre meeting , Corporate sourcing committee( CSC ) meetings and other decision making forums
• Prepare and evaluate the price negotiation strategies .
• Lead and support price negotiations with the suppliers
• Responsible for implementation of purchasing performance enhancement measures .
• Effectively handle the escalations and provide value additions for the resolutions of the issues .In relevant cases timely elevate .
• Support adaption of Marketing ( brand ) specifications to the Indian Market requirements .
• Support the cost saving initiatives , localisations and alternate sourcing etc .
• QMS /EMS : Responsible for implementation of Qulaity , Environment , and energy management systems ( ISO 9001 , ISO 50001 , ISO 27001 as per the applicable standards )
• Evalaute domestic and global trends in purchasing and benchmarking wherever required .
• Handle purchase order approvals and change management
• Adhernace to the VW India and or VW group processes and procedures ( wherever applicable )
