Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Lead/Senior SAP ABAP Consultant to guide ABAP solution rollouts and deliver hands-on technical support across SAP ABAP tasks. The role spans from requirements gathering to implementation and ongoing support, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful client outcomes.

Candidates should have 7–14 years of SAP ABAP experience, with expertise in S4HANA ABAP, RAP for Fiori, OData, and CDS, plus strong knowledge of SPROXY, BRF+, IDoc, and APIM.

Qualifications

• 7–14 years of hands-on SAP ABAP experience.
• Strong ABAP for S4HANA, ABAP Modern Stack, and RAP for Fiori with OData/CDS.
• Enhancement work: BADI, API, Custom Field, and AIF development with config/setup.
• Experience with SPROXY, BRF+, APIM, IDoc, PDF forms, Kafka, AVRO schema.
• Hands-on with SAP GUI, ABAP Tools, Fiori Launchpad, SoapUI, Postman, and Lenses.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.

We're looking to bring a Lead / Senior SAP ABAP Consultant into our organization.

This opportunity allows you to steer and shape progressive initiatives spanning Software, System, and Test Engineering. We welcome applications from professionals with 7 to 14 years of relevant background, particularly those experienced in ABAP for S4HANA, ABAP Modern Stack, RAP for Fiori and internal processing, OData, and CDS, to become part of our motivated team.

Responsibilities

• Guide the team through the rollout of solutions built on ABAP
• Deliver hands-on technical assistance across various SAP ABAP-related tasks
• Engage in every stage of the project lifecycle, spanning initial requirement gathering through to implementation and ongoing support
• Partner with teams spanning different functions to ensure successful project outcomes and satisfied clients
• Keep pace with evolving SAP ABAP tools and techniques, contributing ideas for continuous enhancement

Requirements

• Between 7 and 14 years of hands-on background working with SAP ABAP
• Strong command of ABAP for S4HANA, ABAP Modern Stack, and RAP applied to Fiori and internal processing through OData and CDS
• Skilled in Enhancement work, including BADI, API, Custom Field, and AIF development, along with related configuration and setup tasks
• Practical experience with SPROXY, BRF+, Application Job, OSS Note installation, PDF Forms, SOAMANAGER, DRF replication, IDoc setup and configuration, APIM configuration, Kafka topic familiarity, and AVRO schema setup
• Working knowledge of SAP GUI, Eclipse-based ABAP Development Tools, Fiori Launchpad, SoapUI, Postman, and Lenses
• English language proficiency at a B2 level or above

Nice to have

• Prior experience overseeing SAP ABAP project initiatives
• Understanding of Continuous Delivery Service, Views, OData, and the ABAP RESTful Programming Model
