Job summary

Phoenix Business, Inc. is seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Senior Consultant to drive development, rollout and support across SAP landscapes. You will work on S/4HANA transformations, design and optimize ABAP solutions, and collaborate with functional teams to deliver integrated processes.

Ideal candidates have hands-on ABAP, OOABAP, CDS Views, OData, and SAP Fiori/UI5 exposure, with a strong focus on performance and data migration activities. Hybrid collaboration and global projects are common.

Qualifications

• Senior SAP ABAP development experience across classic and OO ABAP.
• Strong hands-on ABAP development skills with RICEFW components.
• Experience with SmartForms, SAP Scripts and Adobe Forms is a plus.
• Hands-on work with S/4HANA, CDS Views, OData Services and SAP Gateway.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and unit-test ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms.
• Participate in end-to-end SAP implementation and rollout projects, translating functional specs into technical designs.
• Provide production support: incident resolution, root-cause analysis, and code fixes within SLA.
• Collaborate with functional consultants across MM, SD, FI/CO, PP, or WM to deliver integrated solutions.
• Optimize existing custom code for performance in S/4HANA environments.
• Support data migration activities using BDC, LSMW, or Migration Cockpit as applicable.

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Senior Consultant to join our SAP practice, supporting Implementation, Rollout, Support, and S/4HANA transformation projects. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on development experience across classic and object-oriented ABAP, along with exposure to modern SAP technologies like CDS Views, OData, and Fiori/UI5.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and unit-test ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms (RICEFW objects)
• Participate in end-to-end SAP implementation and rollout projects, translating functional specs into technical designs
• Provide production support: incident resolution, root-cause analysis, and code fixes within SLA
• Collaborate with functional consultants across MM, SD, FI/CO, PP, or WM to deliver integrated solutions
• Optimize existing custom code for performance, especially in S/4HANA environments (Code Pushdown, CDS-based development)
• Support data migration activities using BDC, LSMW, or Migration Cockpit as applicable

Required Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on expertise in ABAP, OOABAP, ALV Reports, Module Pool Programming, DDIC
• Experience with SmartForms, Adobe Forms, SAP Scripts
• Solid knowledge of BAPI, RFC, IDoc, BDC, and Enhancement frameworks (BADI, User Exits, Enhancement Points)
• Working experience with SAP S/4HANA, including CDS Views (Core Data Services), OData Services, and SAP Gateway
• Strong debugging, performance tuning, and code optimization skills
• Functional exposure to at least one core module: MM, SD, FI/CO, PP, or WM

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

• Exposure to SAP Fiori/UI5and RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model)
• SAP S/4HANA implementation project experience (greenfield or brownfield)
• Experience with ABAP unit testing / ATC (ABAP Test Cockpit)
