EPAM Systems in Bengaluru, India, invites a Lead/Senior Business Analyst – Insurance with Scrum Master responsibilities to connect business and technical teams across the insurance value chain, lead requirements analysis, Agile delivery, and stakeholder engagement.

You will gather and map requirements, translate them into epics and user stories, manage the backlog, coordinate UAT, and drive delivery with Agile ceremonies while monitoring KPIs and ensuring clear status reporting to leadership.

Qualifications

• 6–15 years of overall IT experience.
• 8+ years as a BA, Agile PM, Scrum Master, or Delivery Lead.
• Experience in insurance domain across Claims, Underwriting, Policy Administration, Billing, or Distribution.
• Proficiency in writing epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria, and guiding other BAs.
• Hands-on delivery experience in Agile, Scrum and Kanban.
• Knowledge of SDLC, testing lifecycle, and release management.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Working knowledge of Jira, Confluence, and Azure DevOps.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify goals, challenges, and regulatory limitations across the insurance value chain.
• Gather, evaluate, and record requirements through workshops, interviews, story mapping, and data analysis.
• Convert requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows.
• Manage and enhance the product backlog with Product Owner or business leads.
• Facilitate UAT with test scenarios, coordinating business users and defects.
• Establish and monitor business KPIs such as cycle time and NPS.
• Lead Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Backlog Grooming, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives.
• Oversee delivery scope, timelines, risks, RAID logs, and release milestones.
• Coordinate across teams to ensure consistent delivery and communication.
• Provide status updates to leadership via dashboards and executive summaries.
• Serve as liaison between business and technical teams on requirements and constraints.
• Collaborate with architects on integration requirements (PAS, claims systems, billing, data providers).

Lead/Senior Business Analyst – Insurance

We are looking for a Lead/Senior Business Analyst – Insurance with expertise in Scrum Master responsibilities to connect business and technical teams throughout the insurance value chain, leading requirements analysis, Agile delivery, and stakeholder engagement to deliver measurable business results.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify goals, challenges, and regulatory or process limitations across the insurance value chain (e.g., Policy, Billing, Claims, Underwriting, CRM/Distribution)
• Gather, evaluate, and record requirements through workshops, interviews, story mapping, process mapping, and data analysis
• Convert requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows (AS-IS/TO-BE), functional specifications, and wireframes when needed
• Manage and enhance the product backlog alongside the Product Owner or business leads to guarantee clarity, completeness, and testability
• Facilitate UAT by preparing test scenarios, coordinating business users, managing defects, and ensuring traceability from requirements to results
• Establish and monitor business KPIs (e.g., cycle time reduction, claim leakage control, STP rates, NPS improvement)
• Lead Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Backlog Grooming, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives
• Oversee delivery scope, timelines, dependencies, risks, RAID logs, and release milestones
• Coordinate across teams (engineering, QA, data, architecture, operations, vendors) to maintain consistent delivery and communication
• Provide clear status updates to leadership and stakeholders through dashboards, weekly reports, and executive summaries
• Serve as a liaison between business and technical teams to ensure mutual understanding of requirements and constraints
• Work with architects and subject matter experts on integration requirements (e.g., PAS, claims systems, billing, document management, external data providers)

Requirements

• 6-15 years of overall IT experience
• 8+ years of combined experience as a Business Analyst, Agile PM, Scrum Master, or Delivery Lead
• Experience within the insurance domain, covering one or more areas such as Claims, Underwriting, Policy Administration, Billing, Reinsurance, or Distribution
• Proficiency in writing epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria, along with the ability to guide other BAs through this process
• Hands‑on experience delivering projects within Agile, Scrum, and Kanban frameworks
• Knowledge of SDLC, testing lifecycle, and release management
• Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management abilities
• Working knowledge of Jira, Confluence, and Azure DevOps
