Job summary

Jio in India is hiring a Security Engineer- L3 to design, implement, and operate security controls across cloud and on‑prem environments. You will configure security tooling, support cloud networking, and help define security roadmaps.

The role requires 8–15 years of IT security experience, BE/BTech/MCA, and hands‑on knowledge of 802.1X, RADIUS, TACACS, MFA, and Cisco ISE, with familiarity in Azure, AWS, GCP and Forcepoint/Cisco WSA.

Qualifications

• Experience: 8-15 years in IT security and infrastructure administration.
• Proficient with cloud and on-prem security tools.
• Hands-on with network security devices and virtualization.
• Knowledge of security standards and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Configure and support security tools (firewalls, antivirus, EDR).
• Hands-on cloud networking and security policy configuration.
• Knowledge of network technologies (switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers, IPS/IDS, WAF).
• Understand virtualization tech (VMware ESX, Docker).
• Knowledge of SNMP, SSL, TLS protocols and their functioning.
• Troubleshoot security in large-scale environments; use Wireshark.
• Work with public, private and hybrid cloud solutions.
• Review security roadmaps for cloud security and compliance.
• Provide security solutions for cloud and on‑prem environments.
• Support and document security architecture activities.
• Understand customer security requirements and assist delivery of customized solutions.

Job Description & Responsibilities

1. Configuring and supporting security tools, such as firewalls, anti-virus and EDR software.
2. Hands‑on experience in cloud networking and security policy configuration.
3. Knowledge of supporting network technologies such as switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers, IPS/IDS and WAF.
4. Basic knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware ESX, Docker and containers.
5. Knowledge of SNMP, SSL and TLS protocols and their functioning.
6. Ability to manage and troubleshoot technologies in large-scale environments, with knowledge of IP/TCP stream diagnostic tools such as Wireshark.
7. Working experience in public, private and hybrid cloud solutions and their best practices.
8. Strong understanding of Unified Compliance Framework and cyber drills.
9. Review and management of technical security roadmaps related to cloud security.
10. Providing solutions and implementing effective security strategies on cloud and on-premises environments.
11. Providing support and documentation for all activities related to security architecture.
12. Understanding customer security requirements and supporting the delivery of customized solutions.

Skills Set

1. Knowledge of cloud security concepts and technologies across Azure, GCP and AWS.
2. Good understanding of cybersecurity and risk management practices.
3. 3+ years of full-time IT experience in the administration and support of on-premises and cloud infrastructure.
4. Basic understanding of Windows and Unix administration.
5. Hands‑on experience managing proxy server tools such as Forcepoint and Cisco WSA.
6. Demonstrable experience deploying proxy server tools such as Forcepoint and Cisco WSA.
7. Hands‑on experience with 802.1X, RADIUS and TACACS protocols to achieve AAA.
8. Demonstrable experience deploying AAA tools such as Cisco ISE.
9. Experience with device administration, policy configuration and troubleshooting of Cisco ISE.
10. Experience with MFA systems and RADIUS servers.
11. Good knowledge of different security maturity model assessments and security resilience.
