Job summary

Varroc in Maharashtra, India seeks a Lead Quality professional for Traction Motor and related EV manufacturing. You will drive end-to-end quality management, ensure IATF 16949 and ISO standards, and lead customer complaint resolution with 8D, CAPA, and root-cause analysis.

Responsibilities include managing inspections, APQP/PPAP, MSA, SPC, and process audits, plus supplier audits and KPI monitoring. Mentorship of the plant quality team is expected.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or equivalent.
• 1015 years of experience in Automotive/EV manufacturing.
• Minimum 3–5 years in a Lead Quality / Plant Quality role.
• Experience in Traction Motor, BLDC Motor, Magneto, Alternator, Starter Motor, Motor Controller, or Automotive Electrical Products preferred.
• Strong knowledge of: IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA; VDA 6.3 Process Audit; GD&T and drawing interpretation.
• Experience with OEM customers such as Tata Motors, Mahindra, Bajaj, TVS, Hero, Ola Electric, Ather preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end quality management for traction motor and related manufacturing processes.
• Ensure adherence to IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and customer requirements.
• Lead customer complaint resolution through 8D, CAPA, and root-cause analysis.
• Manage incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities.
• Lead APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, Control Plan, and process audit implementation.
• Lead supplier quality improvements and conduct supplier audits.
• Monitor quality KPIs including PPM, COPQ, warranty claims, rejections, FTQ, and customer satisfaction.
• Support NPD, localization, and product launches.
• Ensure calibration management and metrology compliance.
• Lead quality improvement projects via Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, Lean, and Six Sigma.
• Develop and mentor plant quality team members.
