Job summary

Bridge Global Careers & Events is seeking a Software QA Lead with 7–12 years of QA experience, including 2–3 years in a lead role, to drive quality for an EMR platform in healthcare. The role requires hands-on leadership, collaboration with product and engineering teams, and deep testing across clinical workflows.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with healthcare systems, QA strategy, and automation frameworks, along with HL7/FHIR knowledge and secure data practices.

Qualifications

Job description

We are looking for 7 to 12 years of experience Software QA , with at least 2 to 3 years in a QA Lead role to lead quality engineering for a healthcare Electronic Medical Records (EMR) platform. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in healthcare software testing, preferably with EMR/EHR, hospital management systems, clinical applications, or healthcare SaaS platforms. The role requires a hands-on QA leader who can own the overall quality strategy, lead the QA team, work closely with product and engineering teams, and ensure that the platform is functionally reliable, secure, interoperable, and safe for clinical use. The candidate should be comfortable testing complex workflows involving patients, doctors, appointments, encounters, clinical documentation, prescriptions, laboratory results, billing, insurance, medical records, and healthcare integrations.

Key Responsibilities

• Strong experience in Healthcare / EMR / EHR / Hospital Management Systems.
• Lead and manage the QA team across functional, integration, regression, automation, and release testing.
• Define and implement overall QA strategy, test plans, processes, and quality standards.
• Strong knowledge of patient registration, appointments, encounters, clinical records, prescriptions, lab reports, billing, and insurance workflows.
• Hands-on experience in functional, integration, API, database, and regression testing.
• Strong SQL and backend data-validation skills.
• Experience with Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, Postman, or similar tools.
• Experience building and maintaining test automation frameworks.
• Knowledge of HL7, FHIR, and healthcare interoperability is preferred.
• Understanding of HIPAA, healthcare data privacy, security, RBAC, and audit trails.
• Experience with performance testing and tools such as JMeter is an advantage.
• Experience with CI/CD and Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong defect management, root-cause analysis, and production support experience.
• Mentor QA engineers and conduct test-case and automation reviews.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, DevOps, Security, and healthcare domain teams.
• Strong analytical, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
