Job summary

HealthEdge is seeking a hands-on QA Automation Lead to drive test automation strategy across the GuidingCare platform. You will architect scalable Playwright-based frameworks (TypeScript) and mentor a team of automation engineers, embedding automation in-sprint with development teams.

Responsibilities include modernizing legacy suites, defining standards, and delivering actionable quality metrics while collaborating with Product, Dev, and DevOps to shift quality left.

Qualifications

• 10+ years QA/SDET experience with 8+ years in test automation.
• Deep Playwright with TypeScript expertise: architecture, fixtures, parallelization, and visuals.
• Hands-on Selenium WebDriver experience (Java/JS bindings).
• Proven track record building automation frameworks from scratch.
• Strong programming skills: TS/JS, Python, Java.
• API automation using Playwright API, REST Assured, or Postman.
• CI/CD integration experience; AWS preferred; GitHub Actions acceptable.
• Git, PR workflows, and modern development practices.
• Strong analytical and root-cause debugging with clear communication.

• Define design patterns (POM), reusable libraries, utilities, and reporting plug-ins.
• Define and maintain automation coding standards, branching, and code reviews.
• Define automation strategy, coverage targets, and KPIs aligned with release goals.
• Lead in-sprint automation and partner with dev teams to automate with features.
• Improve regression pass rates via flaky-test triage and root-cause analysis.
• Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines (AWS, GitHub Actions).
• Mentor QA engineers and lead by example with production-grade automation.
• Champion AI-assisted testing tools to accelerate authoring and maintenance.

About the Role

You will design, architect, and evolve scalable automation frameworks using Playwright (TypeScript) and Selenium, lead our framework modernization, mentora strong teamof automation engineers, and partner with development to embed in-sprint automation as a default.

Key Responsibilities

Framework & Architecture

• Design, build, andmaintainscalable automation frameworks from scratch using Playwright with TypeScript

• Lead modernization of legacy suites (Katalon, Selenium) to Playwright-based frameworks

• Establish design patterns (POM), reusable libraries, utilities, and reporting plug-ins for cross-team adoption

• Champion the use of AI tooling (Copilot, Claude, Playwright Test Generator) to accelerate authoring, maintenance, and adoption of emerging AI/ML approaches in testing

Reporting& Stakeholder Management

• Developexecution reports and dashboards to track progress, test outcomes, and quality metrics, providing clear visibility to leadership stakeholders

• Partner with Product, Dev, and DevOps to embed quality earlier in the SDLC

Required Skills

Must-Have

• 10+ years of overall QA / SDET experience, with8+ years in test automation

• Deep expertise in Playwright with TypeScript — test architecture, fixtures, parallelization, network interception, visual testing, debugging

• Strong hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver (Java or JavaScript bindings)

• Proven track record of building automation frameworks from scratch.

• Strong programmingskillsin TypeScript / JavaScript,Python,Java.

• API automation experience (Playwright API testing, REST Assured, Postman)

• CI/CD integration experience —AWSpreferred; GitHub Actions also acceptable

• Proficient with Git, pull-request workflows, and modern development practices

• Strong analytical and root-cause debugging skills, with excellent written and verbal communication

Nice-to-Have

• Domain experience in healthcare.

• Performance testing experience.

• Cloud platform experience (AWS)

• Hands-on with AI-assisted testing tools.

• Exposure to accessibility testing and open-source contributions to automation projects

• Experience with test management tools (Zephyr Essential, TestRail)
