MetAntz is hiring a Lead QA Automation Engineer in Bengaluru to own automation strategy for a data-intensive AI platform. You will lead a small team, validate UIs, APIs, and ETL/machine-learning outputs, and ensure correctness at scale.

The role demands hands-on leadership and deep testing across data pipelines. You will architect scalable frameworks, drive performance testing, and embed quality gates in CI/CD.

About the Opportunity

MetAntz is partnering with a fast-scaling enterprise AI product company to hire a Lead QA Automation Engineer. This is a hands‑on leadership role at the intersection of test engineering and data.

You will own the automation strategy for a platform that ingests high-volume data and surfaces data‑science‑driven outcomes, and you will be responsible for making sure both the application and the intelligence it produces are provably correct at scale. It's a strong fit for someone who thinks like an engineer, has led a small team, and is comfortable testing not just UIs and APIs but the correctness of ETL pipelines and machine‑learning model outputs.

What You will Do

• Define and lead the QA automation strategy across the platform, and build scalable, maintainable automation frameworks from the ground up.
• Design complex, high‑coverage test suites spanning UI, API, and data layers.
• Drive performance and load testing, establish benchmarks, and identify bottlenecks before they reach production.
• Integrate automated testing deeply into CI/CD so quality gates run continuously rather than at the end.
• Test high‑volume, data‑intensive applications - validating data as it moves through ingestion, transformation, and warehousing.
• Test data‑science outcomes - validate model inputs, outputs, and behaviour, and build repeatable ways to catch regressions in data‑science‑driven results.
• Mentor and level up QA and SDET engineers, set standards, and raise the overall quality bar for the team.

Must-Have Skills

• QA automation & test engineering: Strong automation background, API testing, and rigorous test design.
• CI/CD, containers & cloud: Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud‑based testing (GCP or Azure preferred).
• Data & ML testing: ETL testing, data‑science/ML model testing, and some data‑warehouse testing experience.
• Tooling & scripting: Selenium, Python scripting, and Postman.
• Leadership: Experience leading small QA/SDET teams.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Playwright, Cypress
• RestAssured
• JMeter and/or K6Experience
• 8+ years of QA automation/SDET experience preferred.
• 6+ years will be considered for strong candidates.
• Open up to ~14 years for the right leadership profile.
