Job summary

Theomnihire is seeking a highly experienced Python Lead to drive architecture, backend development, and end-to-end product delivery. This hands-on leader will evaluate ideas, build PoCs, and guide a small team from feasibility to production.

Responsibilities include architecture ownership, design of scalable Python apps, and collaboration with the Founder/CTO to ensure timely delivery. Immediate joiners preferred for a senior role.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• 6+ years in production Python 3.x.
• Experience with FastAPI, Django, or Flask and REST APIs.
• Built two production systems end-to-end.
• Experience with PoCs and feasibility studies.
• Database knowledge: PostgreSQL or MySQL; Redis or MongoDB.
• Experience with Celery / RQ and RabbitMQ / Kafka / SQS.
• Prod experience with AWS / Azure / GCP, Docker, CI/CD.
• Testing with pytest and Python type checking.
• Security knowledge: OAuth2/JWT; OWASP Top 10.
• At least 2 years leading 3+ engineers.

Responsibilities

• Conduct feasibility studies, PoCs, and build-versus-buy analyses.
• Prepare feasibility reports with effort estimates, costs, risks, and go/no-go decisions.
• Design scalable, secure Python apps and REST APIs.
• Develop backend services using Python with FastAPI/Django/Flask.
• Own architecture, code quality, performance, and production releases.
• Work with PostgreSQL/MySQL, Redis/MongoDB, queues and brokers.
• Manage cloud deployments, Docker, CI/CD, monitoring, and operations.
• Lead and mentor a team of 3–6 engineers.
• Drive code reviews, sprint planning, and engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with Founder/CTO for timely delivery.

About the Role

We are looking for a highlyexperienced, hands-on Python Lead to drive technical feasibility.application architecture, backend development, and end-to-end product delivery.

This is a player-coach rolecombining hands-on Python engineering with technical leadership. You willevaluate new product ideas, build proof of concepts (PoCs), make architecturedecisions, lead a team of engineers, and take applications from feasibility toproduction.

Requirements

Mandatory Skills

• 10+years of overall software engineering experience.
  
• 6+years of hands-on production experience with Python 3.x.
  
• Strongexperience with FastAPI, Django, or Flask and REST API development.
  
• Experiencedesigning and delivering at least two production systems end to end.
  
• Provenexperience in technical feasibility studies and PoCs.
  
• Strongdatabase knowledge: PostgreSQL or MySQL, plus Redis or MongoDB.
  
• Experiencewith Celery / RQ or equivalent task queues and RabbitMQ / Kafka / SQS.
  
• Productionexperience with AWS / Azure / GCP, Docker, and CI/CD.
  
• Hands-onexperience with pytest, code quality tools, and Python type checking.
  
• Knowledgeof application security, OAuth2 / JWT, OWASP Top 10, and access control.
  
• At least2 years of experience leading 3+ engineers.
  
• Strongcommunication, problem-solving, estimation, and delivery ownership skills.
