Job summary

Wati is seeking a Lead Product Designer to shape the UX of our AI-native SaaS platform used by thousands of businesses. You will own core design areas, collaborate with product and engineering, and guide a team of designers to raise the quality and consistency of our design system and mobile experience.

You’ll work closely with product managers and engineers to translate user needs into intuitive, scalable experiences, mentor others, and contribute to product strategy while delivering compelling

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Product Design, with at least 3 years in a lead role.
• Portfolio shows strength in UX, interaction, and visual design.
• Expertise in Figma and prototyping, design systems, and collaboration tools.
• Experience designing for SaaS products or complex systems.
• Proven experience improving or maintaining a design system.
• Strong user research experience and translating insights into actionable ideas.
• Experience with AI-driven or conversational products.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design for core product areas, from discovery to implementation.
• Translate customer needs into intuitive experiences informed by research data and UX best practices.
• Build a deep understanding of competitor features and customer needs at a persona level.
• Use modern tools and AI-assisted workflows to iterate faster, prototype new ideas, and validate through user testing.
• Lead user research to identify key touchpoints and define measurable criteria for UX effectiveness and efficiency by guiding other designers in conducting interviews, analyzing insights, and applying data-driven design principles.
• Own and evolve our design system to improve consistency, scalability, and ease of use across the product.
• Partner with engineering to ensure our design system is implemented accurately and continuously improved.
• Reimagine and enhance mobile app experience, ensuring parity with the web app.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to refine ideas based on feedback and improve designs as they’re built.
• Mentor designers, review their work, and support their growth.
• Contribute to product and business strategy by connecting design decisions to outcomes.
• Build and present complete design demos to leadership to secure stakeholder alignment and buy-in.

We’re looking for a Lead Product Designer who brings clarity, craft, and curiosity to how we design and build our SaaS platform. You’ll design experiences that help businesses connect better with their customers and lead the effort to make every part of our product simple, useful, and enjoyable.

You’ll work closely with product managers, engineers, and other designers to shape what we build next. You’ll own design for key areas of the product, guide other designers, and help raise the quality and consistency of our design system and mobile experience.

What You’ll Do

Requirements
