Job summary

Tekskills is seeking a Lead Oracle DBA in Hyderabad to drive migration, upgrade, and disaster recovery implementations for a large OSS/BSS transformation program. You will oversee migrations from VMware to OLVM, establish Data Guard-based DR, and upgrade Oracle DBs to 19c/23ai while ensuring high availability and seamless cutovers.

You will mentor mid-level DBAs, collaborate with application, infra, and PM teams, and define standards across DEV-UAT-PROD environments.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Oracle DBA experience (12c–19c/23ai).
• Experience with Oracle Data Guard setup and operations.
• RMAN, recovery scenarios and backup validation expertise.
• SQL performance tuning via AWR/ASH/Explain Plans.
• Hands-on with Siebel, BRM, and UIM databases.
• OSS/BSS systems database dependencies awareness.
• Migration planning and cutover execution experience.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.

This includes transitioning Oracle Communications applications (Siebel, BRM, UIM, etc.) from VMware to OLVM, upgrading Oracle DBs to 19c/23ai, and establishing a highly available DR setup using Data Guard.
