Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead Network Engineer is responsible for the design, support and administration of Dish’s support network.
• Configure and maintain networking protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, HSRP, VLAN, TCP/IP, MPLS, STP and IPv4, including subnetting, routing and knowledge of Nexus, ASR, ISR, Catalyst, and ACI/APIC. Administer global Cisco ASA, Palo Alto firewalls, and Cisco ISE.
• Lead the Network team and support other team members in Windows, Linux, Mac and VMWare administration tasks.
• Document, configure, monitor and troubleshoot daily operations, implement change requests (CRs) and respond to production incidents to restore services to normal.
• Perform routine maintenance such as upgrades, network traffic traces, etc.
• Support and implement a large campus network including data centres.
• Provide L3 understanding of routing and switching protocols, disaster recovery and resilient network design.
• Operate Palo Alto firewalls in a multi‑virtual‑system environment, use Panorama and threat‑prevention tools, and manage SSL decryption.
• Manage AWS connectivity; configure security groups, VPC, EC2, IAM roles, routing and VPNs (GRE, IPsec, RAVPN, SSLvpn, ACL, NAT). Understand Zscaler proxy, Internet access, private access, Zero‑trust network access, SD‑WAN and ACI.
• Configure and manage F5 BIG‑IP (LTM, GTM/DNS, ASM) modules; handle SSL offloading, certificates and secure traffic flows.
• Be flexible to work rotational shift.

Skills, Experience and Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in routers, switches and firewalls in a large data centre environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent (MSc, MCA).
• CCNA/CCNP certified.
• L3 command of Cisco ISE administration.
• L3 knowledge of AWS infrastructure.
• Experience with network configuration automation (scripting with Perl/Python/Bash).
• Commitment to improving processes as a lead, team collaboration and customer satisfaction.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Mentor and train junior engineers, allocate responsibilities and ensure adherence to best practices.
• Ensure SLA adherence, reduce incident MTTR, maintain high availability and resiliency of network services.
