Job summary

UKG is seeking a Java Engineer with AI capabilities to design, develop, and maintain robust backend systems and microservices. The role involves integrating AI/ML models into enterprise applications and building APIs to enable AI-powered features such as recommendation engines and predictive analytics.

You will collaborate with data scientists and product teams to implement AI-driven solutions, optimize performance, and ensure scalable, reliable software.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Java development (Java 8+).
• Strong knowledge of Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
• RESTful APIs and distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML libraries or frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, etc.).
• Experience integrating AI services (NLP, recommendation engines, prediction models).
• Familiarity with data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
• Experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Understanding of containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).

• Familiarity with MLOps practices and model deployment
• Exposure to Generative AI / LLM integrations (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, etc.)
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
